Deployed Titlesearch
Product naming and domain research
Checks whether a product name is free across domain extensions, reports who holds the taken ones, and judges whether they compete with what you are building.
The problem
Domain checkers read one source and call it settled. Registries and registrars disagree often enough that a name can look free, read as taken at checkout, or turn out to be a parked page nobody is using.
My role
Product definition, architecture, and full implementation.
Decisions worth defending
- A name with no registry record is reported as not registered, never as available, until a registrar confirms it. When sources disagree, every answer is shown rather than one being chosen.
- Nothing is ever registered, renewed, transferred, or changed. The tool reads, and the registrar keys it asks for are the ones that cannot buy.
- Site text is data, never instruction — a page being read for market overlap cannot tell the model what to conclude about itself.
Where it stands
Built and open source under Apache-2.0, published to npm with releases for macOS, Windows, and Linux. Runs as a command-line tool, a desktop app, a local web app, and a model-context server. Pre-launch: no paying customers yet.
